I wanted my first post to be a little about me.
My name is Amanda (Mandy) and I am 30 years old.
I live just outside Philadelphia PA with my fiance and our 2 fur babies (Rosco the lab and Phoebe the Pug/Jack Russell/Monster).
I am addicted to all things makeup and skincare.
It all started when I was very young. I have fond memories of stealing my mothers makeup and chasing my little sister around with a tube of lipstick and holding her down while I applied outrageous amounts of it ;)
When I was 18 right out of highschool, I was hired at a Clinique counter at my local department store.
I worked my way up, did my time with a few different cosmetic lines and eventually became a business manager for the Lancome counter.
As I got older I was not completely thrilled with the Retail atmosphere and chose to leave to pursue other avenues..but I always continued my freelance work.
In 2009 as an effort to legitify my freelance business , I attended a cosmetology school and got my esthetician license.
I have had the pleasure of working at a retail counter, in a freelance setting, in a spa doing facials/waxing and even got to do makeup for a local artist's music video!
I am thankful for each experience , no matter how small..and am always looking to further my education , looking for new tools etc.
I recently began airbrushing makeup and tanning and have thoroughly enjoyed this new(to me) aspect of my trade.
I am not exactly sure what my "goal" is with this blog.
I do hope to connect with like minded addicts and be inspired/educated and maybe even inspire/educate someone else.
